Western Digital Hard Drive models supported:

        WDC WD5000BEVT-60A0RT
        WDC WD6400BEVT-60A0RT
        WDC WD1600BEVT-60A23T
        WDC WD2500BEVT-60A23T
        WDC WD3200BEVT-60A23T
        WDC WD1600BEKT-60A25T
        WDC WD2500BEKT-60A25T

Usage:

WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.exe [options]

where options are:

-s        for silent operation
-r        to reboot at end of installation

Example:

WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.exe -s -r

Note: WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate uses the HP Virtual Floppy setup application to complete
the DOS boot portion of the installation necessary for hard drive firmware updates.

WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.exe Return Codes:

0                Success
100                The currently logged in user in not an administrator equivalent
101                The operating system in incompatible with this application
102                The unit is not on AC power
103                Failed to get the hard drive model
104                Failed to find SystemID
106                The processor architecture is not supported
107                Failed to extract the installation files
3010                Success, reboot is required

Virtual Floppy Setup Error Codes also returned by WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.exe:

1        The operating system in incompatible with this application
2        There is insufficient memory to complete the operation
3        The Setup.ini file is invalid
4        An error occurred while copying the DOS image and bin files
5        An error occurred while patching the DOS image file
6        The DOS image file is not contiguous
7        The DOS image file appears to be invalid
8        An error occurred while decompressing a compressed image file
9        An error occurred getting file info from the DOS image file
10        The sector size in the DOS image file is invalid
11        An error occurred while calculating the CRC for the DOS image file
12        An error occurred while updating the Win2K/XP boot.ini file
13        An error occurred while updating the Vista/Win7 BCD (boot configuration data)
14        The currently logged in user in not an administrator equivalent
15        The unit is not on AC power
16        Unidentified or general error


Note: Log files are saved to the same folder as WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.exe.

WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate log file:        WesternDigitalDriveLockUpdate.txt       
Virtual Floppy log file: vf.log        (generated only when an error occurs)
